Ethan (They/Them) is a first-year clinical science PhD student whose research focuses on elucidating the molecular and epigenetic mechanisms underscoring risk and resiliency for the development of psychopathology with a specific interest in substance use research. Before joining the BRAIN Lab, Ethan worked as a post-baccalaureate research fellow at the National Institute on Alcohol Abuse and Alcoholism (NIAAA) under Dr. David Goldman in the Laboratory of Neurogenetics. Ethan earned their B.A. in psychology with honors and a double minor in theatre arts and photography from Case Western Reserve University. Ethan is also a certified crisis counselor.
