Katy Chang

Meet Katy

Katy is an undergraduate senior at WashU majoring in the Psychology-Neurology-Philosophy program and minoring in Anthropology. Her current research project examines possible mediators for the link between racial health disparities, stressful life events, and elevated proinflammatory cytokines. She is also conducting a research project on the relationships between anhedonic symptomology, inflammation, and negative physical health outcomes. Katy is interested in a research career dedicated to examining mental and physical health disparities among marginalized groups, and intends to apply to clinical psychology programs in the near future.

Besides generating mediational models, Katy’s hobbies include sketching, writing short stories, and eating green tea ice cream.
